Oktopus Moon Gold Black Ink

Description

The Oktopus Moon Gold Black Ink is the culmination of all our previous generation II Oktopus. It is constructed entirely in 18 karat N5 rose gold and finely sandblasted to give it a warm textural hue. While sumptuous in its all gold finishing, it is also discreet.

This is the last generation II of the Oktopus we will launch (generation I only exists in four series with a classic turning bezel). The first Oktopus II was launched 13 years ago in 2011. While recent Oktopus launches were the lightest we have ever made at 60 grams, this ultimate series is the heaviest with more than 100 grams of 18 karat gold and a total weight of 145 grams.

The complementary mattness of the Black Ink dial and the sandblasted gold gives this piece a very subdued and calm expression.

We will only make eight pieces per year of the Oktopus Moon Gold Black Ink.

  5 layer skeletonised dial in Anti-Reflective Black Ink. Flange and top layer; matt black. Hands in titanium color with satin finish and Luminova. Lower dial; matt black. Large numerals, 3, 9, 12, in Black Ink with Luminova.

  18K rose gold (5N); microbillé finishing
  Sapphire crystal, antireflective on the inside

  Crown:
  Titanium; rough circular satin, engraved with an octopus motif

  Titanium, engraved with octopus drawing

  18K rose gold (5N); microbillé finishing
  Titanium Grade 5 screws, circular satin finish on top and black tension discs

  The movement is bespoke with an in house graphic moonphase complication, which was originally conceived and developed in 2009 together with renowned Danish master watchmaker Svend Andersen of Andersen Geneve.
