DESIGN
Designed by co-founder Morten Linde, the angular case of a Linde Werdelin timepiece is influenced by functionality and modernism and Morten’s design DNA is evident through every collection.
All Linde Werdelin pieces, although they might look very different from one another, have the same case size 44mm (w) by 46mm (l) by 15mm (h), which was originally intended to fit our digital instruments, the Rock and the Reef, for skiing and diving respectively.
Each collection is therefore instantly recognizable as a Linde Werdelin, from the classic 3-timers to the wild wearable art of the Oktopus Volcano, Deep Sea and Universe.
Design features include the turning bezel and a modern, faceted case that makes Linde Werdelin one of the most recognisable watch shapes on the market today.
Our design collaborations have included the Linde Werdelin Sven Anderson SpidoLite, the Oktopus Tattoo with Henny Jorgenson of Royal Tattoo Denmark, our work with the Danish Military to together develop the Oktopus Frogman, and our latest partnership with master engraver and artist Johnny Dowell on the Oktopus Moon, Universe, and Volcano pieces.
2020 will see a collaboration with James Thompson AKA the black badger and potentially others.
